Tozai TMC, Area32 東西TMC, エリア32
I visited Tozai TMC again. We had 5 members to join in the meeting. TM Ishizuka and TM Tezuka are both familiar faces in Tozai TMC and I was happy to see them again. TM Morise and TM Tashiro joined consecutively. The meeting started at 19:15pm with relaxed and warm atmosphere with the note by President Morise. TMOE was TM Ishizuka and she smoothly started conducting the meeting by assigning the role takers. We had two table topic sessions and 1 pair of prepared speaker & evaluator.
The first role was the quote of the day by TM Morise with "Once you're lucky. Twice you're good." The first attainment is usually a beginner's luck but if you could repeat it, you are good, indeed." He shared interesting perspective.
TM Ishizuka was the table topic master as well and she gave us good topics.
The first topic was "What is your plan this summer?" and TM Morise shared his trip to Egypt. And the same question went to TM Tezuka and she shared her trip to Fukuoka with salsa friends. The second topic was "how to increase the membership?" and I shared a couple of idea to promote club activities including hybrid meeting with online and offline. The same question went to TM Tashiro and she proposed to invite current inactive members. Table topic session is always giving us the opportunity to speak out.
The prepared speaker was TM Tezuka and she tried the last project, Speaking After Dinner, from the Entertaining Speaker to complete her ACB. The title was "Time Management". She shared her busy time schedule and how she manages her daily tasks. It was so interesting to know how she manages the time. Even she is doing well, she learned more time management tips by books and she applied them very well. Now she changed her daily schedule to have more networking events in the evening, and she is now trying to apply new method in time management. We could learn a lot from her speech.
And I evaluated her speech, but again I run out of time.
The lastly TM Morise proposed us to have another table topic session. The first question "How do you think the rosy future of Kimono?" went to TM Tashiro. The second question "When was the happiest time in life?" went to TM Ishizuka and the last question "If you were the prime minister, which prefecture you will get rid of it?" went to me.
In the closing session, we confirmed that the next term officers and club officer training on Saturday. 2 new officers will join in COT#1!
As you can find, Tozai TMC has full of opportunities in speaking. Table Topics, Prepared Speech, Evaluation, and even role taker explanation. And Tozai TMC ensures our trials and failures with warm atmosphere. If anyone of you want to increase your opportunities to speak, Tozai TMC is second to none. That is the reason why this club is active for more than 20 years. Hoping you can find this hidden gem in Division C.

東西TMCに再訪しました。5人の参加でした。石塚さんと手塚さんは東西TMCではお馴染みのお二人で、またお会いでき嬉しかったです。森瀬さんと田代さんは毎回いらっしゃってます。19:15にゆったりとしたあたたかい雰囲気で森瀬会長の挨拶で始まりました。司会は石塚さんが担当され役割担当を決めながら会をスムーズにスタートされました。この日は2回のテーブルトピックと1名の準備スピーチ＆論評でした。
最初の役割は、森瀬さんから今日の格言「Once you're lucky, twice you're good」が披露されました。一回目にうまくいくのは大抵ビギナーズラック、でも二回目ができたら本物だ、という面白い見方を教えてくれました。
石塚さんがテーブルトピックマスターも担当され、いいトピックを選んでくださいました。最初のトピックは「この夏のご予定は？」で森瀬さんが、エジプト旅行について話してくださいました。同じ質問が手塚さんにもあり、サルサ友達との福岡旅行について話してくださいました。二つ目のトピックは、「どうやって会員を増やすか？」でした。私が、オンラインとオフラインのハイブリッド例会などでクラブ活動を宣伝しては、といった提案をしました。田代さんは、現在の会員で参加されてない方に来ていただいたら、という提案をされました。テーブルトピックはいつも話す機会を与えてくれますね。
準備スピーチは手塚さんで、ACB達成の最後のスピーチをThe Entertaining Speakerマニュアルから、Speaking After Dinnerのプロジェクトに取り組まれました。題は「タイムマネジメント」です。忙しい日々のスケジュールやどうやって日々こなしているかを披露してくださいました。手塚さんのタイムマネジメントはとても興味深かったです。今でも十分上手にこなされていますが、本を読んで、さらなるタイムマネジメントのコツを学ばれたそうです。そしてそれを上手に使ってらっしゃる様子でした。現在は、夕方により多くの人間関係を築くために日々のスケジュールは変わってきたそうですが、タイムマネジメントの新しい方法に取り組まれているそうです。たくさんのことを教わりました。そして、私が論評でしたが、またも時間オーバーでした。
最後に森瀬さんが、もう一回テーブルトピックをしましょう、と提案いただきました。最初の質問は、「着物にバラ色の未来は？」で、田代さんがお答えいただきました。二つ目は「人生最高の瞬間は？」で石塚さんがお答えいただきました。三つ目は「首相だったら、どの県を外す？」で私が答えました。閉会の挨拶で、次期役員を確認し、土曜日に開催されるCOT#1を確認しました。2人の新役員の方が参加予定です！
ご覧いただきましたように、東西TMCには話すチャンスがたくさんあります。テーブルトピック、準備スピーチ、論評、役割説明も含めて。そして東西TMCは挑戦や失敗を温かい雰囲気で見守ってくれます。もっと話す機会を増やしたいと思っている方には、東西TMCが最適です。だからこそ20年以上も続いているクラブなのでしょうね。ディビジョンCの隠れた宝石をみつけていただければ嬉しいです。
